Job descriptionWe are looking for an Assistant Homes Manager for our Therapeutic Children's Home based in Spalding. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a fun and innovative leadership team who love and care for traumatised children. Albion Street Children’s Home is a fun, nurturing and vibrant place to work. Our children live with us long term and are aged between 10-16. They are an energetic, exuberant, loving and delightful group of children who have a huge zest for life. You will be working alongside the Homes Manager and Level 3 Carers to drive the best possible care for our children with a team of diverse carers. You will have leadership responsibilities such as producing a rota, completing supervisions, managing safeguarding and overseeing all areas of the home. We are looking for a manager who: Has experience of working with children and understands their needs Is supportive and passionate about developing people and the home Is child-focussed, we put our children first Is compassionate, but firm and hugely kind Has skills in quality assurance Has the energy and motivation to innovate and inspire others Has experience of multi-agency working Is flexible, creative and can adapt to the needs of the home Is an experienced leader Is willing to work towards a QCF Level 5 qualification or equivalent Working hours for the role are predominantly Mon-Fri 0900-1700. Working from home days are available. Assistant Homes Managers are also required to work flexibly and provide shift cover including nights, bank holidays, sleep-ins and weekends. Y our development is important to us and you will be supported not only by the leadership team at Albion Street but also by Managers in our other homes. You will be required to assume responsibility for the Home in the absence of the Homes Manager and undertake specific areas of responsibility to support the team.
