Job summary We are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic individuals with outstanding communication skills to join our Clinical Coding team. Training and progression is important to us so once you have met all requirements of the band 3 role, we will support you through internal assessments in which if you are successful will take you to the higher band, Clinical Coding Examination and beyond. We will be shortlisting and inviting a number of candidates to spend several hours in the department, where there will be a presentation followed by a discussion of what the job entails and in depth details of the career progression we offer followed by an assessment. If you are successful in the assessment you will be invited back for an interview at a later date. Main duties, tasks & skills required Knowledge of Clinical Coding and ICD 10 and OPCS will be an advantage, with an understanding of anatomy and physiology and medical terminology. You will need excellent attention to detail and be required to organise your own workload and work as part of a team to deliver timely and accurate coded data to meet trust deadlines.
