Job description
We are looking for a current Band 5 who is eager to progress to a Band 6 role or a current Band 6 looking for the opportunity to train in MRI/CT. We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed and patient focused radiographer to support the Radiology department as well as developing MRI and CT skills. The role will rotate through general/CT/MRI whilst being supported by experienced CT/MRI radiographers. When the successful candidate has completed their CT training there is an expectation for them to participate in the CT on call rota. Rated GOOD overall with outstanding care by the CQC. Be able to use the full range of radiographic equipment within the departments including general, mobile, theatre work, and fluoroscopy To work as part of a professional radiography team providing a high quality diagnostic service To maintain a sensitive and courteous approach to all patients To develop and improve professional expertise via continuous professional development To maintain a safe working environment within the MRI/CT departments (once trained) Clinically supervise and train Student Radiographers during Hospital placements Maintain the highest professional standards as set out by the Health Professions Council The successful applicant once fully trained, will be expected to produce high quality diagnostic CT/MRI images as per the department protocols and policies.
