Where you fit in Reporting to the Head of Compliance Strategy and Delivery, the Business Analyst - Compliance is a member of the Strategy & Delivery team within Trading & Supply (T&S) Compliance. You will be a key enabler in the delivery of T&S Compliance second Line of Defence (LoD2) projects and strategic initiatives to enhance to the overall T&S Compliance Framework, the digitalisation of global T&S Compliance processes, and supporting projects under the Risk Portfolio Board programme of work delivered by the T&S business. What’s the role? The Compliance Delivery team is a group of highly driven Compliance professionals focussed on using their broad knowledge of Compliance frameworks, risks and controls to deliver solutions to enhance the T&S Compliance Framework. The Business Analyst - Compliance will provide business analyst support to a range of initiatives and projects which support the development and delivery of the T&S Compliance Strategy to ensure T&S’ regulated businesses are able to meet their regulatory obligations. You will be expected to work closely with project managers and strategy team members to help: Define scope and compliance team outcomes of any project as well as delivery approach with resource, timeline and budget (factoring in any interdependencies with other compliance projects and BAU deliverables). Establish fit for purpose governance to ensure each project delivers against its objectives, has effective decision-making processes and maintains senior stakeholder support. Capture compliance functional team risk issues, value drivers and high-level requirements to define the problem statement and obtain buy-in for each project from a diverse and senior stakeholder community. Gather and analyse data relating to risks, feasibility, opportunities and compliance team impacts of various solution options. Partner with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver each project to plan and budget, including assisting with change management activities such as transition planning, training and communications. Effectively manage and report on status, risks and issues within each project, with escalation as needed. Transition project deliverables into compliance functional teams. Capture and share successes and learnings to enhance future projects. Write business plans and strategy reports to communicate T&S Compliance strategy, priorities and performance to senior stakeholders. Analyse and report on T&S Compliance budget spend and recommend initiatives to optimise bottom line. Build a board network of internal relationships across T&S Compliance and other functions / T&S businesses as required. What we need from you Along with your bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or equivalent work experience, we hope to see the following in your CV: Experience in Project Management or Business Analyst type roles in consulting, financial services, trading organisations and regulators. Experience in creating and maintaining project plans, including risks, actions, issues, dependencies. Experience in documenting processes, pain points and detailed requirements. Some experience in writing business plans / strategy reports. Some experience across trading compliance functional domains and knowledge of global financial regulatory compliance requirements. Some project management, change management and continuous improvement experience would be beneficial. Ability to manage several tasks at once and comfortable working in fast-paced, changing environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to shape and solve problems using a structured approach Extensive experience with PowerPoint, Excel and Word. Ability to interact with a range of stakeholders and to collaborate and partner effectively within a global team. Ability to work across different groups to harness ideas and generate solutions or new approaches to complex problems.
