Job Description Summary A new exciting opportunity has arisen as a Clinical Specialist within BD’s Advanced Repair & Reconstruction (AR&R) platform, supporting the UK & Ireland. The Clinical Specialist will be responsible for developing a thorough understanding of the Advanced Repair & Reconstruction environment, in conjunction with BD’s products, their indications and their partners in performing the procedures; with the aim of fully supporting and developing the UK&I business. About the role An exciting opportunity for the position of Clinical Specialist within BD’s Advanced Repair & Reconstruction (AR&R) platform has arisen within the UK & Ireland. Reporting to the AR&R National Sales Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing a detailed understanding of the Advanced Repair & Reconstruction environment, in conjunction with BD’s products, their indications and their partners in performing the procedures, with the aim of fully supporting and developing the UK business. The role is essential in creating a comprehensive awareness and environment in which clinicians utilise our product to improve procedural efficiencies with the aim of achieving optimal patient outcomes. Main responsibilities will include: In this role you will build an awareness of the AR&R portfolio, with specific focus on bio-synthetics, by supporting customers through driving professional education, creating Procedural Repair Champions, and developing Centre’s of Excellence. You will provide extensive field support to targeted accounts during the introduction and adoption of new products, procedures, and pathways for Complex Abdominal Wall and Soft Tissue Repair. Lead in the development & delivery of clinical value-added services, and effectively leverage opportunities to advance sales and other strategic initiatives. Clinical training and support for new team members, new product users and accounts. Strong KOL network development and key national groups e.g. BHS, ACGBI or as identified by clinical and marketing teams. Training to drive greater acceptance and utilisation of the portfolio within an account. Support the sales team and work closely with the marketing team to align and further develop the clinical tools to deliver the ARR strategy. Collaborate and co-ordinate with relevant internal, external, and international associates to develop or customise and implement programs in the UK&I Provide scientific, clinical, and technical support as required. About you We are looking for a results-oriented and dynamic candidate with, preferably, degree level nursing or clinical qualification. You should have experiences in the following sectors: successful field-based clinical support experience within the medical device industry and a clinical background ideally in an Operating Theatre or related environment. You should be able to provide evidence of an ability to develop strong technical knowledge of theatre-based products, related procedures, and indications. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills to effectively manage all levels of interaction with internal and external partners of all levels. Must be well organized, able to prioritise appropriately and display good time management skills.
