Clinical Trust Fellow (Higher) Paediatrics Division: Planned Care Care Group: Women's & Children's Health Grade: Specialty Registrar Salary: £44,171 - £57,570 per annum/pro rata Contract: 6 Months Fixed Term. We are recruiting for a Clinical Trust Fellow (Higher) in Paediatricswho shares our ambition and vision to deliver the Best of Care by the Best People and has the drive to take us forward, by ensuring that the Trust continues to be the first choice for patients and our staff. We have part time 0.6LTFT post for 6 months available in our trust at registrar level to start from September 2023. The posts are based at Medway Maritime Hospital in Gillingham. The posts are for middle grade in paediatrics (ST3 level and above). The post holder will work with other colleagues to provide a comprehensive paediatric service with no neonatal cover. There will be the opportunity to lead ward rounds and run regular general paediatric clinics. He / she will also be encouraged to be involved in and experience other aspects of the service including management and education and will be supported to attend relevant senior management and governance meetings. The post holder will be allocated a paediatric Consultant at the start of the post who will provide educational supervision and mentoring. There is a level 3 neonatal unit based at Medway Maritime Hospital with a separate rota at all grades. To provide acute general paediatric cover to in-patient and out-patient services (without need for neonatal service cover.) 2. To provide Paediatric Assessment Unit care as part of a multidisciplinary team 3. By arrangement to cover colleagues during periods of annual and study leave. 4. Administrative duties include those associated with the care of the patients and the running of the clinical department. 5. Help in the supervision and teaching of nursing and junior medical staff 6. Participate actively in quality improvement activity/ clinical audit and implement its results. 7. The post-holder will undertake, exceptionally, to perform additional duties in emergency and unforeseen circumstances as are essential for continuity of patient care. 8.
