My client is an independent 4* boutique hotel located in an excellent location in the City of London who are now looking for a corporate focused Sales Manager to join the team. The ideal person would have 1-2 years experience in a similar role, or someone in a reactive hospitality sales role, who is keen to move into a varied role that includes account management and proactive sales.Job role summary:Total Account Management of existing corporate clients to ensure maximum revenue is secured and market share increased. To identify and drive new business opportunities across all market segments. Support DOSM with Social Media activities. Assist DOSM in the development of the Sales Coordinator.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:1. To effectively manage time and resources, make client visits, arrange and host FAM trips, client show-rounds, telesales and email campaigns that will:a) Identify new business, maximising all sales lead opportunities to drive incremental and new revenue to the hotel.b) Ensure excellent knowledge of accounts, proactively manage and build relationships with key clients to protect and increase existing client revenue sales.2. Achieve telesales and appointment targets: - A minimum of 8 qualified appointments per week to include both potential and existing clients and a minimum of 80 telesales calls per month.3. Plan and execute UK and International sales trips.4. Attend trade fairs, networking events and represent the hotel at industry related events.5. To analyse productivity figures on a monthly basis for all your managed accounts.6. Updating DOSM on a monthly basis on the productivity and development of targeted accounts.7. To agree with the DOSM annual personal objectives and to set objectives for selective accounts, to be reviewed monthly.8. Re-contracting and negotiating account portfolio in line with rate strategy, involving the completion of RFP’s.9. Assist with the compilation of Sales & Marketing budget and Sales Activity Plan and complete monthly activities outlined in the plan.10. Provide feedback on competitor pricing and market trends.11. Present recommendations for promotional rates, sales and Social Media initiatives.12. Maintain up to date client records and maintain an accurate list of all decision makers and bookers on the sales database.13. To communicate closely with other departments in the hotel such as Reservations, Reception and F&B on the profile and handling of new or developing accounts to ensure continuity, recognition and service delivery. Ensuring good communication and support.14. To take responsibility for your own training and development, identifying opportunities to DOSM.15. To achieve set revenue targets as outlined in the Sales Bonus Scheme.16. To complete an activity report on a weekly basis.17.
