We are looking for an enthusiastic Customer Service Representative to join our team.As a CSR, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and advising a diverse range of customers making inquiries about various Council services. This is a dynamic role that requires effective communication skills, empathy, and the ability to resolve inquiries at the initial point of contact.Responsibilities:Provide accurate, meaningful, and consistent advice to customers, ensuring they understand the actions to be taken.Demonstrate patience and empathy, conveying a genuine desire to help and support customers in their situations.Collaborate with colleagues within the Contact Centre and other service areas to achieve high levels of first-time call resolution and customer satisfaction.Embrace current and emerging technology to enhance customer contact services.Drive continuous improvement by facilitating positive change and contributing to the enhancement of customer experiences.Requirements:Essential:Proven experience working in a Contact Centre environment.Proficiency in using software within a MS Windows (or similar) environment.Strong keyboard skills with speed and accuracy.Excellent listening skills, coupled with empathy to understand and address customer needs.Ability to work effectively as part of a team, contributing to team, directorate, and corporate goals.Effective problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze customer needsClear and concise communication skills, promoting a culture of open, honest, and effective communication.Aptitude for learning and adapting to new technologies to enhance performance.Strong commitment to excellence in service delivery and customer satisfaction.Desirable:Certification demonstrating working knowledge of MS Windows (or similar) environment.Previous experience in delivering customer-focused information and advice services.Special Circumstances:The Contact Centre operates between 08:30 AM and 6:00 PM with an appropriate shift pattern in place (subject to review).Interviews held Aug 31stJob Types: Full-time, Temporary contractSalary: £10.50 per hourBenefits:Company pensionSchedule:Day shiftAbility to commute/relocate:Cardiff, CF10 4UW: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)Application question(s):Do you have proficiency in using software within a MS Windows (or similar)Education:A-Level or equivalent (preferred)Experience:customer service: 1 year (preferred)Contact centre: 1 year (preferred)Work Location: In personReference ID: 1037649
