SUMO Sheffield are now looking for a data Scientist to join the LiveOps department, you will work with game teams to make data-informed decisions using relevant insights, evaluating the progress and outcome as well as bringing findings and improvements to the team In your new role you will: Build models and analyses to help understanding of player behaviour, using the outcomes to recommend content and experiences which support business objectives Build tools for regular analysis and health check on in-game behaviour based on raw data Partner with data engineering to build pipelines and sound data architecture for game projects Ensure player data is secure and compliant with privacy regulations in all areas of operation Use machine learning projects to help personalize and balance player experience Create multivariate tests in hand with game design and product management Present analysis, outcomes of modelling projects, and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders To be successful you will have: MS or BS + Equivalent Experience in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or similar Experience in Data Science or Analytics in digital products in a B2C environment, particularly games-as-a-service on any platform Knowledge of live game terminology, trends, and patterns Knowledge of programming best practices as they relate to data science Experience with multivariate experimentation, including A/B testing or inline recommendation engines. Experience with big data sets including but not limited to Redshift, Snowflake, Hive, Spectrum, or Athena. Experience using and developing machine learning models in Python, R, Ruby, or equivalents.
