Your Key Responsibilities: Your responsibilities include, but not limited to: Concept generation, development, and analysisDetail design (including 3D CAD and engineering drawings)Engineering calculations and analysis including tolerance analysisMechanism generation and analysis (including FEA and Motion Simulation)Design verification testing (DVT) including reportsBuilding/testing prototypes and test rigs including data acquisition and analysisMaterials selection, Materials, Design reviews and DocumentationRisk analysisSupport Project Managers and Device Project Leads with the following: Planning, Quality compliance, Specifications, Manufacturing integration Commitment to Diversity & Inclusion: We are committed to building an outstanding, inclusive work environment and diverse teams representative of the patients and communities we serve. Minimum requirements What you’ll bring to the role: 2:1 degree in Mechanical Engineering or related subject or equivalent experienceBroad technical knowledge of medical device technology and drug-device combination productsSubstantial experience of developing high-volume products, ideally medical or drug delivery devices; Experience of working within the ISO13485 medical devices quality framework and in-depth knowledge of GMP, EU, and FDA regulatory requirementsHigh level of proficiency in 3D CAD systems; preferably SolidWorks Experience and knowledge of FEA modellingSolid understanding of core concepts including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, materials science etc. Creativity and analytical skillsExperience and knowledge of Tolerance Analysis Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear and understandable mannerTechnical writing skills Understanding of quality control and risk management Knowledge of assembly processes and good DFMA skills Results orientated, enthusiastic, and driven by excellence You’ll receive: (not mandatory) Competitive salary, Annual bonus, Pension scheme, Share scheme, Health insurance, 24 days annual leave, Flexible working arrangements, Employee recognition scheme, learning and development opportunities.
