As a self-employed contractor, you will be responsible for managing your own delivery schedule and providing exceptional service to our customers. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who enjoy working independently, have excellent time management skills, and take pride in delivering packages efficiently and with care.Responsibilities:Package Pickup and Delivery: Safely and efficiently pick up packages from designated locations and ensure their timely delivery to customers' specified destinations.Route Planning: Plan your delivery routes effectively to maximize efficiency and minimize time spent on the road.Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure that your delivery vehicle is well-maintained, clean, and in good working condition at all times.Customer Service: Provide outstanding customer service by handling packages with care, addressing customer inquiries or concerns, and maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor.Documentation and Record-Keeping: Accurately maintain delivery logs, records, and any other necessary documentation required for accounting or administrative purposes.Time Management: Manage your time effectively to meet delivery deadlines and handle multiple deliveries efficiently.Communication: Maintain clear and open communication with the company's dispatch team, promptly reporting any delays, issues, or changes in delivery status.Safety: Adhere to all traffic laws, follow safe driving practices, and prioritize the safety of yourself, other drivers, and pedestrians.Requirements:Valid Driver's License: Possess a valid driver's license, appropriate for the type of vehicle you will be using for deliveries.Reliable Vehicle: Own or have access to a reliable and well-maintained van suitable for delivering packages.Insurance: Maintain valid auto insurance coverage for the vehicle used for deliveries. MUST include Carriage of Goods for Hire and Reward.Physical Fitness: Possess the physical fitness and stamina required to load and unload packages of varying weights throughout the day.Time Management Skills: Demonstrate excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.Customer Service Skills: Display exceptional customer service skills, including effective communication and problem-solving abilities.Dependability: Exhibit reliability, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility towards meeting delivery deadlines.Adaptability: Be flexible and adaptable to changing delivery routes, traffic conditions, and customer requirements.GPS and Technology Proficiency: Comfortably use GPS navigation systems and possess basic smartphone and technology skills necessary for communication and tracking deliveries.Note: As a self-employed delivery driver, you will be responsible for your own taxes, vehicle maintenance, and other expenses related to your delivery services.
