Embark on this thrilling opportunity as we seek an enthusiastic Editorial Assistant to join our dynamic pre-production team. The role Our Editorial Assistant plays a crucial role in bolstering the Pre Production team, ensuring precise and accurate delivery of timed scripts, synopses, and more to the production teams. This pivotal position involves timing episodes, preparing and inputting scene synopses, processing scripts, looking for continuity errors, as well as crafting episode summaries. Additionally, you will actively contribute and assist the editorial & production team with the inputting and distribution of amendments for the blocks that are filming. Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria) Experience working in an administrative role (for a minimum of 3 months). Good knowledge of TV production and its processes demonstrated by a media course or experience working within Television. Demonstrable experience coordinating projects. Excellent accuracy and attention to detail evidenced by an accurate CV with no typos etc. Competent IT Skills. Ability to use computer systems including Microsoft Office and Google Mail/Drive/Sheets. Experience in a role where you’ve worked in isolation and unsupervised and had to use your own initiative and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and hitting strict deadlines. Knowledge of script writing software would be an advantage, but not essential as full training will be given. Other things we’re looking for (key criteria) Organisational, administrative and secretarial skills (including keyboard skills). Ability to work under your own initiative. Teamwork skills and strong interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to change approach depending on the circumstances. Ability to deal with a wide spectrum of personalities on all levels, adapting approach as necessary. Passion for Continuing Drama and for TV. Attention to detail. Self motivated and ability to work to tight deadlines. Television production and pre-production experience and knowledge. ITV is for everyone.
