Job description
At Cornwall Council, we are increasing the amount of renewable energy generation to meet our target of carbon neutrality by 2030. This is role sits within our Energy Team to support the delivery of renewable energy projects. Cornwall Council is one of the leading authorities delivering climate change initiatives. We have a portfolio of energy assets including rooftop solar PV systems, a 5MW solar farm and a 2.3MW wind turbine. We have supported ground-breaking projects including geothermal energy and biomethane production. We are also part of exciting and innovative projects such as Floating Offshore Wind. We have a target to install of 2MW of renewables per year. This role will involve working with collegues to deliver renewable energy systems. Day-to-day tasks will vary from communicating with stakeholders, to marketing and reporting. A very important part of the role is collaborating with other teams within the Council. Whilst the location/work-base for this role may have been specified our evolving ways of working means that the role may require you to also work remotely (e.g., from home/other locations).
