MYM Recruitment are delighted to be working with our new Ballymena client who are a multi-discipline contractor with offices throughout NI and the UK. Due to demand, they are wishing to recruit a highly driven Construction Estimator for their busy Ballymena office.Key Duties/Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:Log all tender enquiries and open electronic and paper tender files.Review and print all appropriate documentation (drawings, specifications, prelims, client enquiries, forms of contract, bid submission documentation, programme etc).Identify named suppliers and select appropriate alternative suppliers for tender.Quantification of labour, materials and plant, based on take-offs (counting and measuring) from drawings, detailed review of specifications and other tender documentation.Prepare and send bid packages for suppliers to price including strict dates for return.Follow up with suppliers to ensure tender prices are received by agreed deadlines.Input all information on the Estimation software throughout the process.Identify inclusions and exclusions from our bid.Liaise with Dowds key Design and Contract Management team at start of tender process to determine a methodology for contract completion incorporating value engineering and appropriate new technologies.Determine a programme and timetable for completion of tender in line with Company procedures and tender deadline.Essential Criteria:Minimum of 5 years’ experience within building services.Experience in counting off, measuring, and pricing projects.Ability to produce work of a consistently high quality to tight deadlines.Excellent Communication / Negotiation Skills.A Proactive Approach and a good eye for detail.Ability to take and follow instructions.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: From £35,000.00 per yearWork Location: In personReference ID: JO4877
