Job type: Temporary maternity cover, Full time. 40 hours per week

Salary: £26,245 - £29,854 depending on experience

As a non-maintained therapeutic residential special school working with vulnerable and emotionally troubled primary aged children, we have developed an outstanding reputation for the education and care we provide. The Family Link Worker (Maternity Cover) will work alongside and in support of Family and Network Practitioners (FNP) in order to ensure that the family and network of the children are receiving the most appropriate interventions for the child’s and family’s needs. Responsibilities will include:

  • To support Family & Networks Practitioners to assess families, foster carers, and wider networks in order to establish which clinical or supportive interventions they need and to be involved with implementing these.
  • Plan and participate in support groups for parents and carers, including family weekends and other initiatives that the team may develop.
  • To work with T&NT colleagues in the development of the school’s work with families.
  • To participate in team meetings, peer supervision and individual supervision, and contribute to the discussions.
  • Liaising with social workers and other professionals, parents, and carers around day-to-day issues and more sensitive issues, including sending out incident reports

The Economist Group is looking to recruit a Head of Treasury Operations Manager as global process owner for Treasury, Banking and Payment functions.\n <\u002Fdiv>\n

This is a global process owner role managing regional process owners in Banking and Payables in the UK, US and Hong Kong, and once established will work closely with Financial Operations colleagues in the Group’s India based Shared Services team. The successful candidate will possess strong knowledge of customer payment platforms and will partner the Payment Optimisation Manager and the wider Economist circulation business in optimizing subscription receipts from customers. They will work closely with banking partners, technology partners, credit card merchants, payment providers and FX desks.\n
The role will help drive the implementation of a Finance Transformation programme, delivering changes to technology, process and organization before overseeing effectiveness of day to day banking and treasury operations.\n <\u002Fdiv> Accountabilities: \n
\n We seek an experienced Treasury professional and people manager to lead the following key areas, but not limited to:<\u002Fb>\n <\u002Fdiv>\n

  • Identify and embed new technology solutions to automate manual cashiering processes<\u002Fli>\n
  • Rationalise and consolidation of banking relationships<\u002Fli>\n
  • Systems and process development, improving the efficiency and effectiveness of Treasury, Banking, AP Operations<\u002Fli>\n
  • Management of a globally dispersed team responsible for daily transaction processing and cash management<\u002Fli>\n
  • Manage group and regional liquidity needs through timely and accurate cash flow forecasting and analysis<\u002Fli>\n
  • Managing forex exposure through placing and management of hedging instruments<\u002Fli>\n
  • Monthly reporting to Treasury Committee<\u002Fli>\n
  • Liaising with banking agent for the Group RCF<\u002Fli>\n
  • Review charges received from financial institutions and renegotiating contracts with suppliers to ensure competitive rates<\u002Fli>\n
  • Maintaining a robust control environment ensuring strong internal and anti-fraud controls are in operation in line with policy and procedure<\u002Fli>\n
  • Keeping up to date with new compliance regulations and developments in the banking and payments industry and working with the business to ensure the Group is compliant<\u002Fli>\n
  • Partnering the commercial Payment Optimisation team in managing relationships with payment gateways, credit card acquirers, payment aggregators including negotiation of commercial terms and contracts<\u002Fli>\n
  • Monitoring transaction data from acquiring platforms to develop strategy and reduce decline rates and charge-backs<\u002Fli>\n
  • Roll out new B2C customer payment processes globally<\u002Fli>\n
