Forklift Driver & Warehouse OperativeSalary:From 26k per annumHours:Full-timeLocation:Annandale Distillery, Northfield, Annan, DG12 5LLJob DescriptionTitle; Forklift Driver & Warehouse OperativeDepartment(s); ProductionReports To; Head of Production, Buildings & Estates – Mark TrainorMandatory Requirement: Counterbalance Forklift LicenseJob SummaryAs the Forklift Driver & Warehouse Operative you will be responsible for the successful delivery of duties within Annandale Distillery as per the below job description. You will remain vigilant in maintaining a progressive and fully maintained warehousing/bottling environment. You will also maintain the aesthetics of the Annandale site and be sure to deliver the highest quality in attention of detail in all areas of Annandale Distillery. You will enhance the guest experience by providing exceptional service and be knowledgeable in all aspects of production, imparting this to both guests and staff when needed.ResponsibilitiesWarehousing/Bottle Plant/Forklift Work· In-house production and operation of production machinery· Extensive Forklift Driving· Ensuring Forklift is stored and maintained safely.· Consult with the head of dept to ensure all Forklift tickets are up to date.· Storing and Disgorging of Casks· Storage of heavy pallets stored at height.· Filling and moving tanks, vats and ibc’s.· Physical work expected inc. some heavy lifting.· Organisational Skills· Assist colleagues within the Production Department and the Warehouse & Dispatch Department where necessary· Work to pre-determined quality standards at all times in adherence to production procedures· Record production activity on company systems in place, in accordance with current policy· Adherence to company procedures, accreditations and standards in all areas, including quality control, security, auditing and processing· Other duties as required.Health & Safety· You are required at all times to carry out your duties in accordance with the prevailing health and safety legislation.· You are required to implement and follow all relevant safe systems of work and site rules and ensure that others do likewise· Protective clothing and other equipment which may be issued for your protection because of the nature of your job must be worn and used at all appropriate times.· Details of Annandale Distillery’s health and safety requirements are specified in the Company’s Health and Safety Policy document. You are required to read this document and to certify that you have done so· Ensure public safety when workingThe foregoing is a list of your main duties. Whilst comprehensive, it is not exhaustive, so you may be asked to conduct other related duties.
