Graduate Job/Live In PA/Carer for 1st year student at Birmingham City UniversityLocation: BirminghamShift Pattern: Live in - 7 days on / 7 days offStart Date: September 2023Pay & Benefits:Pay: £160 per day / £1,120 per weekHolidays: 5.6 weeks (pro rata)Bespoke training on the client’s particular requirements will be providedOn-call support from the client coordinatorAbout our ClientOur client is a 1st year university student studying Sports Journalism at the University of Birmingham. He has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and is a full-time electric wheelchair user.Our client loves sports and music, so the radio will be on as much as possible! He is a season ticket holder for Birmingham City FC and love going to football matches, so assisting him in attending will be required. Our client is also an avid Boccia player and was ranked 8th in the country for his category. He is looking to continue playing and training Boccia whilst at university.Written by our client…“I am going into my first year to study Sports Journalism at Birmingham City University with a foundation year in September. I am primarily looking for a PA to help me with personal care, but also to assist with socialising and getting myself prepared academically.”“I am naturally quite reserved but when I am comfortable with other people, I can be very funny, I enjoy sports and get particularly passionate about certain topics. I support Southampton fc but also have a season ticket for Birmingham City fc and plan on attending most home matches throughout the season. As a result, it is likely that I will need to travel on public transport which can be unreliable at times. Therefore, I must remain vigilant and be able to find alternative routes. I enjoy planning routes but often need help carrying out my plans.”“I expect to hear feedback on any of my processes if you have another method but most of my instructions are clear and I will give encouragement.
