An exciting opportunity has arisen for YOU to join our new contracting division, forming part of our ground working gang on large commercial projects in Blackburn.We’re looking for a person who will fit in to working in a fast paced environment as part our new ground working team. Experience in a similar role is ideal. The ideal candidate will be able to work as part of a team in an effective and timely manner, along with being able to use own initiative and knowledge as and when required.Role will include: (below list not inclusive)Clearing the construction site of vegetation or carrying out any other site clearanceRemoving old drainage or other pipework systemsLeading any necessary demolition required to enable site workPreparing the ground for the building team to lay the foundationsSetting up the construction siteDigging trenches and laying concreteLaying pavement, driveways and kerbsOperating Machinery, whilst maintaining safe and efficient operationsLoading the plant and HGV vehicles correctly with the required materialsFollowing all Health and Safety Procedures to ensure the safety of self and those around youPay and Benefits PackageHours of work: 7am-5:00pm, Saturday morning (if required) 7am-1pmCompany pension schemeHolidays: 20 days per annum plus statutory bank holidaysLong-term security with a family run businessJob Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: £15.00-£19.00 per hourBenefits:Company pensionOn-site parkingSchedule:Day shiftAbility to commute/relocate:Blackburn: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)Experience:ground working: 1 year (preferred)Work Location: In person
