We're looking for a Head of Internal Audit to lead and manage our Internal Audit function. This position will cover all Internal Audit, Enterprise Risk, and Fraud & Integrity activities. This position is responsible for providing objective and independent assurance over the adequacy and effectiveness of the Company's systems of risk management and internal control. The role assists management by facilitating the company's risk management process, supporting the development and enhancement of controls, and by identifying opportunities for process and control improvements. The role also owns the whistleblowing line and associated ethical investigation policies and processes, as well as all enterprise counter-fraud activity. Day to day Some of your key responsibilities as our Head of Internal Audit will be: Develop and execute a comprehensive, risk based audit plan, with the goal of both maximizing company performance and control, while minimizing risk. The plan should reflect a thorough understanding of the company's operation, as well as changes in internal and external risks Drive a stronger control environment by providing guidance and support to the organization on how to mitigate risks Effectively track audit findings through to remediation, focusing on addressing the root cause of weaknesses Support and drive the development of a risk management process within the airline which supports the achievement of divisional plans and key business initiatives Develop and execute fraud response and investigation procedures, including oversight of the company's whistleblowing service Record and monitor allegations, suspicions and incidents of fraud, including investigations and / or actions taken by management About you For our Head of Internal Audit, we are looking for our successful candidate to demonstrate the following: Strong people management and leadership skills - particularly around leading by example, coaching and development Qualified accountant or Internal Audit / Risk Management Specialist with significant relevant experience, ideally gained in professional practice or in a large multinational corporate Ability to challenge and influence at senior management and board level Positive and pragmatic approach to achieving results Degree educated or equivalent gained through professional experience Excellent commercial acumen with good level of business exposure, ideally with significant exposure to the airline or related industry If this sounds like you, and you would like to be on this exciting journey with us, we would love to hear from you!
