Head of Year The Hyndburn Academy is looking to appoint an inspirational and dedicated Head of Year to join our Pastoral team. Your main duties will include: Supporting the welfare and wellbeing of year group students. Monitoring and supporting student progress. Liaising with staff and parents on student progress. Management of student behaviour, attendance, and attitudes to learning. Regular meetings with pastoral team Assemblies with year group on key topics throughout the year Any other duties required, commensurate with the responsibility and level of this post. The successful candidate must: Have excellent oral and written communication skills. Have high expectations of students in terms of behaviour. Have an ability to engage and motivate students. Have a commitment to support our enrichment programme. Demonstrate enthusiasm and energy required to work with young people.
