Job description
The post holder to undertake tasks and duties delegated by the department manager or suitably qualified regulated professional. They will work mainly alongside the Urology Nurse Specialist team working within specialised clinics i.e Urodynamics. The successful candidate will also need to be able to work as part of the Urology Multidisciplinary Team, assisting across the outpatients department as required. 1.1 Support the clinician or registered nurse and other health care professionals in implementing an agreed plan of care in association with the patient and in accordance with instructions and training received. 1.2 Help promote and maintain an environment conductive to meeting the needs of the patient, their relatives and friends. 1.3 Contribute to a team approach to patient care in conjunction with urology colleagues and all members of the multidisciplinary team. 1.4 Contribute to the legality and accuracy of the patients care plan/ and or other reports and the effectiveness of the established communication /reporting over a full shift. 1.5 Participate in regular meetings and attend other unit meetings as appropriate. 1.6 Assist in the undertaking of tasks and procedures, in which competency has been assessed and recorded specific to the care environment. 1.7 Provide support and assistance to members of the multi-disciplinary team and urology colleagues. 1.8 Health and safety.
