About the Role Walton Medical Centre are looking for an experienced heath care assistant to join their busy team for 30-37.5 per week. We are looking for someone who has experience of assisting patients with clinical requirements, liaising with clinical staff for healthcare needs, carrying out health checks and must have experience of using clinical systems. Walton is a walm and friendly seaside town and the surgery comprises of 2 partners, GPs, ANPs, a paramedic, social prescriber, PCN GP Care Advisor, to name but a few. Please see the job description attached for further details. About the Candidate This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and pro-active health care assistant. The ideal candidate will have: a diploma in Health and Social Care Level 2, experience of working with, and building up working relationships with GPs, nursing staff and admin staff, excellent communication skills both written and verbal, the ability to work well on your own as well as working in a team, a strong understanding of confidentiality. About Us The Colte Partnership is a GP super-partnership, formed in June 2017. It brought together 9 local GP surgeries across Colchester and Tendring, serving approx. 98,000 patients. With the combined workforce, skills and knowledge, we are in a unique position to assist our patients across the county. As well as General Practice, we offer Extended Access appointments to enable all of our patients to access medical care at evening and weekends; we work collaboratively with external agencies to provide in home services and Social Prescribing; we are working to be at the forefront of Clinical Research; and have many more exciting ventures on the horizon. We also work as three collaborative Primary Care Networks (PCNs) which span across Colchester and Tendring: Ambrose Avenue Group Practice, Riverside Medical Centre & Ardleigh Surgery Mersea Island Medical Practice, Tiptree Medical Centre & Rowhedge Medical Centre Walton Medical Centre, Colne Medical Centre & Wivenhoe Medical Centre There is a wide socio-economic and demographic served within this area which will provide an interesting and varied case mix. You will be joining an enthusiastic team of clinicians and administrators. You will be well supported with on-going professional development (training support, CPD and peer support). The role will contribute to the improving quality of care of our patients across the network of practices.
