Job description

A major organisation in the construction industry is seeking to recruit a Litigation Paralegal to join the team in Milton Keynes. Working closely with the Litigation Lawyers in the organisation, the Litigation Paralegal will cover a varied workload including: managing a broad portfolio of disputes, including claims, reinsurance disputes and disputes with building partners; Section 4 recoveries; Assisting the Litigation team with internal reporting across the recoveries portfolio; Assisting with the drafting of documents including complex Letters of Claim in compliance with the Pre-Action Protocol for Construction and Engineering Disputes (2nd Edition), court forms and other documents, including helping to collate and provide the supporting documents for financial recoveries work; Assisting with the conduct of County Court and High Court litigation (including bankruptcy and insolvency proceedings); and Assisting in the settlement of cases directly, attending pre-action meetings, mediations and court hearings as and when required (including trial). This position would suit a paralegal with a strong contentious background and experience of County Court and High Court recoveries.
