(This is often the preferred entry into your first nursing role in the UK given the high staff numbers supporting you within the hospital environment)Community Nursing – Again we have a wide range of services across the region – from Crisis & Home Treatment teams, Older Adults specific teams, EIP (early intervention into Psychosis) ADHD and Autism, Eating Disorders – to name but a fewPrimary Care/Acute Care – We are proud to be an Advocate of the ARRS Primary Care scheme (whereour staff work with primary care to provide intensive support to those experiencing mental health issues for the first time) to Mental Health Liaison roles based within Acute NHS hospitalsPractitioner Roles – As the NHS becomes more “multi-disciplinary” focused – a new host of roles has been created called “practitioner” roles – these provide nurses especially with skills and qualifications (such as CBT, DBT Therapy)Detailed job description and main responsibilitiesEnsure all necessary documentation, identified in organisational/local policies/procedures, is completed by self and others as required.Ensure an open channel of communication/information to the team and othermembers of the multi disciplinary team and within your patient group.Refer any enquires out of your sphere of competence to the appropriate channels.Maintain confidentiality of any information regarding patients/organisation &colleagues.Develop nursing practice through the critical appraisal of research, integrating findings, where appropriate, into clinical practice.Support nursing and multi-disciplinary research and audit within the Trust.Participate in performance reviews of personal development and training needs.Maintain a professional portfolio and registration for practice.Essential criteriaRecord Keeping in accordance with the Trusts policies and proceduresAbility to supervise, support and lead junior staffAssessment and care planning skillsCo-ordinate high quality careExcellent written skillsImplement best practiceInterpersonal SkillsI.T.
