ION Developer 12 months contract (Inside IR35) London (3 days onsite) Your role Are you passionate about delivering new and exciting applications to support the Fixed Income Rates and Credit trading desks? Are you motivated to deliver real business value whilst ensuring existing functionality remains intact? We're looking for someone like that to:Develop solutions to key business challenges developing Java applications or using the ION toolsetRefactor and enhance existing components and solutionsManage UAT and demonstration sessions with key stakeholdersElicit key information from business stakeholders, transforming these into concise IT requirementsCollaborate with other global IT teamsAssist production operations team in rollout and production support Your expertise You have:Good java experience (minimum 5 years)Previous ION knowledge, to an expert level (ION Trading / ION MarketView Platform experience)Good understanding of low-latency, multi-threaded codeSound knowledge of object-oriented programming and design patterns. Exposure to functional programming is also highly desirableExperience of working in agile teams The following are highly desirable but not a strict prerequisite:Good understanding of bond pricing, ideally with PXESolid understanding of Rates and Credit bonds and derivativesDetailed understanding of the nuances of trading venues such as Bloomberg, TradeWebExperience in automated testing and continuous integrationExperience of Python, Perl and other scripting languagesExperience of Kafka You are:Looking for a new and exciting challengeSelf-starting attitude and the desire to take ownership of requirements front start to finishProactive, comfortable working in dynamic environments with fast-paced deliveries and changing requirements GCS Computer Recruitment Services is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
