Who we are: Avove is a new, independent utilities infrastructure business, formed from the utilities division of leading infrastructure services company, Amey. We design, build and maintain the UK’s utilities infrastructure to help transform local communities for the better. The Role: The successful Project Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of IT projects, ensuring that the BTG team achieves it key delivery objectives, and that projects’ meet agreed requirements and quality criteria and are delivered on time and to budget. Responsibilities: Drive the delivery of projects to ensure the right delivery in the most effective way possible. Ensure that appropriate technical and procedural cyber security is established. Actively identify and manage issues to remove them as blockers to successful delivery. Actively identify and manage risks, including inter-project dependencies, to prevent them from becoming issues and negatively impacting projects. Initiate projects including management of scoping, feasibility (requirements, selection, technical assurance, design, costing, benefits definition), business case development, supplier negotiation (commercial terms) and contracts. Schedule, coordinate and ensure timely availability of internal resources (BTG and business) and third-party vendors to ensure delivery to plan. Develop, revise, manage and track progress against project plans. Track actual costs and forecasts for projects against budgets and manage change to scope and schedule. Report progress, key issues/risks and status to project board and key stakeholders including items needing escalation. Ensure change implementation requirements and approvals are met. Maintain project documentation as required. Manage relationships with key stakeholders, user groups and third parties. Skills & Experience: Knowledge of, qualifications in, or willingness to work to attain similar in project management (Agile, APM, PMI, Prince2) Technical solution knowledge Analytical mindset and problem solver, able to anticipate, understand and resolve issues affecting delivery. Stakeholder Management with ability to influence people, at all levels, both internally and externally Good (clear and accurate) verbal and written communication with friendly, confident and uplifting manner Organisation and planning including attention to detail and multi-tasking Ability to quickly learn and understand new solutions, issues, platforms Proven working experience as a project manager Benefits: We offer a competitive salary that is based on proven skills and experience.
