We also promote a healthy work-life balance and offer flexible working arrangements wherever possible, including working from home. IT Learning & Development is a Training Accreditation Programme (TAP) Gold Status Partner. This demonstrates our commitment to providing high quality IT learning and development solutions that meet the needs of the business as well as the individual learner. What will I be doing? We’re working to improve the lives of people in Somerset – and you’ll be a key part of that. Your day to day work will involve: Design and deliver IT systems training to staff using various training media including e-learning, classroom training, virtual training and support sessions. Provide “how to” IT systems support to staff. Looks for ways to improve the contents and delivery of the IT training portfolio such as course content and user guidance. You will join IT Learning & Development to provide on-going services to staff and assist in the development of new training products. Reporting to the Senior IT Trainer, you will be joining a committed team whose focus is to provide quality IT learning and development products, through a variety of methods, including face to face group training, e-learning, virtual training and support sessions (via Teams) and electronic performance support tools for user guidance. There may also be the opportunity to undertake project work activity as part of the team and to work alongside other teams. What kind of experience or qualifications do I need? We offer ongoing support, training and guidance to help you be the best you can be. But it will really help if you: Have extensive relevant transferable experience or proven experience of training IT systems as an IT Trainer. Have good IT skills to enable confident use of IT with others and to undertake updating of user training and support materials. Are enthusiastic, motivated, articulate and have good listening skills. You will need to be a self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision, whilst still being an integral part of a team, be highly organised, able to follow agreed processes and standards, be flexible to changes in the scheduled activity and in meeting the changing needs of users and delegates. Tact and diplomacy are required, together with the ability to listen well and communicate clearly orally and in writing. You can always contact the hiring manager for a chat if there’s anything you want to talk about before you apply. What will I be offered in return?
