We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior IP Counsel to join Thermo Fisher Scientific within our Bioproduction Group. This position will support multiple businesses developing products and services related to biopharma and pharma manufacturing including cell culture media and analytical assays among others. This is a full time, permanent opportunity with 100% remote working is available within Europe. What will you do?Closely partner with R&D, product management, as well as other IP team membersSupporting this business, to identify and support new innovationDraft and prosecute patent applications, provide freedom-to-operate and landscape analysesPerform competitor analyses, develop IP strategy, and handle a large, global IP portfolio in order to strengthen and protect Thermo Fisher’s position as a market leader in bioproductionDevelop a strong understanding of the businesses you’ll support and provide sound and timely legal guidance relating to IP and help inform business decision-making processes Who we are looking for:Law degree obtained in a European jurisdiction (preferably a UK jurisdiction) from an internationally recognised University/law schoolSome PQE experience (preferably in-house or in a full-service international law firm),Proficient legal drafting skills and ability to provide pragmatic, astute advice on contractual risk under a variety of commercial contractsFamiliarity of intellectual property would be advantageousStrong commercial awareness and business sense, including the ability to fully engage with and influence business stakeholders About us: Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is the world leader in serving science, with annual revenue exceeding $25 billion.
