Department of Corporate Resources Human Resources Mail Distribution & Print Officer Band 6: £21,968 pa - £24,054 pa (pro rata for part-time posts) 27 hours per week – Monday to Thursday 06.45am to 12.15 and Friday 06.45am to 11.45am Permanent Based at Birksland Industrial Estate, Bradford, BD4 8TY As a Mail Distribution and Print Officer, you will share the responsibility of delivering high-quality mail and print room services, providing Council-wide departmental support. The successful candidate will work as part of an efficient team to meet business needs and customer expectations. All work involves mail, print, and reprographics, completed to the highest of standards, and meeting GDPR requirements, service level agreements, and statutory deadlines. Duties will include: Providing an effective mail sorting service for all incoming, outgoing, and internal mail, applying a developing digital post room approach. Printing large volumes of correspondence and operating desktop inserting machines to facilitate the outgoing mail service. Providing a Reprographics service that includes but is not limited to, the production of brochures, leaflets, and booklets. Operating binding, laminating, and heat sealing equipment. Daily use of Microsoft Office applications. Problem-solving immediate/simple operational problems and undertaking routine maintenance to ensure any service disruption is kept to a minimum. Opening of premises. Experience and Qualifications Minimum of 3 years office/administration experience Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications 3 GCSE’s at grade C or above, to include Maths and English, or equivalent Mailroom or printing experience would be desirable. The successful candidate will join a busy team in a fast-paced environment, so strong teamwork, flexibility, and time management skills are essential.
