For the area of Mechanical Engineering located in Grimsby, UK, we invite applications for the role of Maintenance Engineer Reference-No.: 2945 Department: Mechanical & Design Engineering Position: Employee Location: United Kingdom of Great Britian, Grimsby Purpose & key responsibilities of the role As a part of the Engineering Leadership Team, you will have overall responsibility for managing external contract resources to ensure they deliver efficient and effective service, contributing to a safe, reliable plant that meets production and quality targets. You will oversee every stage of the contracting process: coordinating external engineering support for regular maintenance activities; setting up site support facilities and contractor on-boarding; acting as Authorised Person signatory for the permit to work system; and contributing to the contractor performance review process You will arrange technical external engineering support to internal maintenance activities for non-core engineering tasks, such as pipefitting (steel & non-metallic), welding, fabrication, machining, structural, leak sealing and packaged E&I work. You will ensure that all contractor maintenance activities are in compliance with relevant internal, national and international standards relating to safety, health & the environment You will provide technical assistance to the Engineering Team in both planned and reactive maintenance activities, specifying repairs to assets in line with internal change management processes You will support the Purchasing Department to ensure sufficient stock of critical spares is maintained You will work as part of the 'Lenzing One Team' to solve complex engineering / process problems, working to timescales with a flexible approach and providing effective communication at all levels Our expectations for this exciting role You have a degree in Mechanical Engineering, and a NEBOSH Certificate would be an advantage You have experience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary team within a continuous process plant, involving both rotating and fixed equipment You are familiar with a range of maintenance strategies, including risk based inspections (RBI), planned, predictive and run to failure You have a thorough knowledge of statutory regulations (PSSR, LOLER, PUWER) and ASME & API construction/repair codes You have a working knowledge of change management and SAP processes You are proactive and hands-on, with a positive, can-do attitude and the ability to plan, organise, inspire, motivate and encourage What we can offer you 25 holidays + all bank holidays Competitive salary and pension.
