We have a great opportunity for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to work on the HMNB Devonport in Plymouth. It is the largest naval base in Western Europe and has been supporting the Royal Navy since 1691. You will be responsible for all commercial and contractual matters on the site. A Managing Surveyor should be able to effectively manage all of the commercial team below him/her to successfully deliver the project and achieve optimum recovery and cash flow whilst also developing and maintaining excellent relationships with the Client. They report to and are supported by the Commercial Manager (CM) or Senior Commercial Manager (SCM). About you Accredited degree course by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS, the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) or the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (ICES). Alternatively, a degree with some numerical or technical substance is advantageous, and/or relevant HND subjects including building/construction, urban and land studies, civil engineering and structural engineering.
