We have an excellent opportunity to join City & Guilds as a Market Insight Analyst Apprentice with the view to complete a Level 4 Data Analyst apprenticeship. Based at one of our offices, you will work on a full time (35 hours) basis including your training. As a Market Insight Analyst Apprentice you will be part of a team whose objective is to support key strategic and commercial decisions with high quality customer and market data and insight. This role is full time and a successful candidate would need to be based within a commuting distance to one of our offices. We are offering some hybrid arrangements with a mix of office and home working- this arrangement will depend on our training and the business needs and can be discussed further. Starting salary for this role is �27,075, rising to �30,685 on completion. This appointment will suit someone with some data analysis/insights experience and looking for their next step. About the role In this role: Month 1: Youll get to know everyone in the Customer & Market Insight team and start to get to know others within the broader Product & Propositions Directorate. During the first month, you will learn about the organisation and the work we do and how that supports the Directorate and the wider organisation. You will understand the type of work the team delivers (e.g., qualitative and quantitative research, market landscaping, market share measurement) and will complete the required mandatory training. By 6 months: You will have a good understanding of the remit of the team and the key outputs, particularly in relation to market & competitor analysis and market share measurement. You will understand what the key data sources are that we use to generate the analysis and will understand who the key stakeholders are for the work. You will be able to help the Market Analysis Manager in the production of this work and be comfortable with using the data sources and the Power BI dashboards that have been built to house the reports. You will understand how stakeholders use the outputs and be comfortable in explaining the results to them. By 12 months: You will be to effectively manage and build relevant dashboards and reports to support the Market Analysis Manager and will be able to contribute to the production of both regular and ad hoc output. You will be a highly capable user of the relevant data sources and Power BI and will have developed your presentation and communication skills to such a level that you are confident contributor to team meetings and key stakeholder meetings. By 18 months: You will be contributing ideas for new outputs and for improvements to existing ways of working and outputs and be able to bring in key and relevant learning from the Apprenticeship programme. You will be confident in dealing with key stakeholders and be confident in understanding and presenting market landscape and market share data. You will have taken ownership for key outputs (e.g., market share reporting) and produced these to a high standard with the support of the Market Analysis Manager. You will also be preparing for your End Point Assessment with the full support of the CMI team. About you We are looking for candidates who have some data analysis/insights experience with the desire to learn and develop themselves. We would like the ideal candidate to have a passion to provide excellent data analysis in a services environment.
