Job Summary Moog Aircraft Group is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join the team at our engineering/manufacturing facility based in Tewkesbury. You will be working within the Design Engineering team where you will have a focus on technical assignments that use your conceptual and detail design skills to support the development of our Hydro-Mechanical Assemblies and systems, sustaining activities, and production tooling. You will have the opportunity to be involved in proposal concepts, interfacing with the customer to establish the appropriate problem statement, contributing to the development of new products; teaming with other engineering disciplines to ensure the producibility and integrity of the design straight through to supporting the manufacture and testing of the finished product. Desirable Attributes Apprenticeship + HNC, HND, Degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline such as Mechanical Engineering Conceptual design and a natural flair for innovation Mechanical and hydraulic design experience Experience in the design of actuators and mechanisms Experience in assembly and test tooling design Experience working with a design CAD package e.g., Siemens NX Understanding of manufacturing/machining processes DFMA, DFMEA, DTC, Drawing creation, MBD & GD&T You Matter at Moog – Our Mission and Vision At Moog, we believe in the people who work for us.
