An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Retail Department. The Club are looking for an Online Retail Assistant who will play a pivotal role in supporting our retailing trading output through the processing of online orders. The successful candidate will have a passion for creating a great customer experience, with strong organisation skills to ensure and maintain an efficient order process, and the ability to confidently deal with customer enquiries received via telephone and email. Alongside this, you will be expected to carry out Retail Assistant duties.Role Responsibilities:· Processing of online orders and customer returns to meet set KPIs.· To communicate with the relevant retail team members to organise replacements or refunds as necessary, whilst maintaining an accurate record of items returned or lost in transit throughout the ordering process.· To provide customer service support via phone and email, working to resolve customer enquiries first time whilst adhering to our customer service policies.· To hold a strong knowledge of retail products and order processes to provide accurate advice to customer enquiries.· Supporting the Digital Retail Manager with ad hoc projects and other administrative tasks.· To provide ad hoc support to the Retail Supply Chain Manager picking and packing orders during busy periods to ensure that customer orders are processed and received on time.· To be responsible for the pre-order system and ensuring the effective prioritisation of orders throughout seasonal trends such as kit launches.· Working with the wider retail team to improve the customer experience and drive sales.· Carrying out Retail Assistant duties when required during peak times.· Supporting the wider retail team when required.· To comply with Sheffield United Customer Care and Complaints Procedure, advising customers of the relevant escalation process where required.To adhere to all Sheffield United Football Club’s Safeguarding Policies and Procedures to foster an environment which protects from harm those defined as children and adults at risk.To report any concerns of a Safeguarding nature to the relevant parties and remain fully compliant with any applicable Safeguarding checks and due diligence and recognise your responsibility to the Club’s Safeguarding agenda.To report any concerns of discrimination to the relevant parties and promote a welcoming and inclusive club environment for all.To adhere to the Club’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion policies, supporting the Club to create an environment which is inclusive and all-encompassing.· Any other typical Online Retail Assistant duties as requested by management.Essential Criteria for the role:· Customer service experience· Good written and verbal communication· Strong attention to detail· Problem solving· Good time management and organisational skills· Experience of working in a fast-paced environmentDesirable Criteria for the role:· Knowledge of Microsoft packages such as Excel, Word and Outlook· Previous ecommerce experience would be advantageousClosing date for applications is Friday 8th August 2023.Please note that in the instance of high volumes of applications we may close this vacancy earlier than the closing date noted above.Eligibility for Employment in the UKIn accordance with current legislative requirements the successful applicant must produce documentary verification of their eligibility to work in the UK and will not be allowed to start work until this has been received.Equality and DiversitySheffield United FC is committed to the principle of equal opportunity in employment and its employment policies for recruitment, selection, training, development and promotion are designed to ensure that no job applicant or employee receives less favourable treatment on the grounds of race, colour, nationality, religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation, marital status, age, ethnic and national origin, disability or gender reassignment.Safer RecruitmentSheffield United FC is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults at risk.
