We have three vacancies for Operations Managers within Housing Services. The service is responsible for a range of functions aimed at preventing homelessness, providing housing advice and support, improving housing conditions within the private rented sector, and ensuring that people with medical or mobility needs can live safely within their own home. We are looking for dynamic, self-sufficient and organised Operations Managers to build on the achievements of our long-established service and drive forward a new phase of service improvement within a climate of widespread internal and external challenges and opportunities. The Operations Manager role is a high profile leadership role, overseeing a number of teams, and playing an active role in the senior management of the service as a whole. You will represent the service on key cross-departmental and partnership forums, take the lead on delivering service improvement projects and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and best practice. The role is both challenging and hugely rewarding – you will lead your teams to make a real difference to people’s lives, and will need the confidence, experience and skills to take difficult decisions, juggle priorities, ensure compliance with statutory duties and retain focus on the agreed service plans for your teams. The three vacancies are within the following areas of Housing Services:- Operations Manager – Housing Solutions – Access to Housing (homelessness advice & assessment, young people, refugee resettlement and rough sleeping) Operations Manager – Housing Solutions – Quality Homes (temporary accommodation, housing access/triage, housing compliance / disrepair, private rented partnership) Operations Manager – Accessible Homes (adaptations, medical assessment) Please indicate in your application form supporting information which of the three vacancies you are interested in.
