E&M Design Partnership is a long established Chartered Architect practice based in Chelmsford, Essex, founded in 1977. As a practice we are focused on delivering high quality architecture throughout Essex and South East of England.Our expertise cover both areas within the residential and commercial sectors. This including extensive projects in the following: Conversions of commercial units and the design of new offices, nursing homes and alterations to public houses. In addition to residential developments for both housing associations and property developers through to new build high-end luxury dwellings, basements and extensions for private clients.We have also done extensive amounts of work with listed buildings and conservation areas. In addition to projects located within the greenbelt, this including one off new build houses and agricultural designs.We are looking to recruit an Architectural Assistant, with a Part 1 qualification or equivalent. The candidate will work alongside an experienced team of professionals on a range of residential and commercial projects, working within a variety of project scales and design stages. AutoCAD experience is desirable.Required Skills:- Experience with using AutoCAD (Photoshop beneficial)- Good organisation and communication skills- Able to work to tight deadlines- Awareness of residential designRole and Responsibilities:We are looking for someone with an aspiration to get involved in all aspects of our projects, within our small office environment, this including:- Supporting Partners and other team members across multiple projects.- Using AutoCAD to produce drawings.- Problem solving and maintaining individual time management.- Maintaining a professional accuracy of project records and organisation.- Staying up to date with building regulations and best practice techniques.In return, you will be rewarded with a competitive salary and the chance to work on a variety of projects from start to finish, with the opportunity to work with a great team.The possibility for some flexible/remote working may be available following successful completion of the candidates probationary period.If you are interested in this role, please send a CV with a relevant example portfolio, alongside a brief covering letter to the following email, [email protected].
