St Monica Trust exists to enable flourishing lives in later life and is committed to holistic care of the residents who either live independently in one of the five retirement villages, or in the onsite care homes. This includes pastoral care and spiritual support and we are excited to advertise two opportunities for people to join our committed team supporting staff and residents. The role of the Pastoral Care Team is to address the pastoral, spiritual and religious needs of residents, families, and colleagues across the Trust. They nurture a sense of community in the retirement villages and exercise a broad ministry for people of all faiths and none, providing support and comfort when life is challenging, including end of life care, and regular opportunities to worship together. If you are a leader within a recognised Christian worshipping community (as defined by Churches Together) who is passionate about supporting older people spiritually and pastorally then we would love to hear from you. The right people for these roles will have experience of working with older people and in addition will: Think creatively Enjoy teamwork and build great relationships with colleagues Are flexible with a ‘can-do’ attitude Love people and have a vocation to serve older people We are recruiting two new members of staff, each working 14 hours per week, one based at Monica Wills House in Bedminster and the other at Westbury Fields in Westbury-on-Trym.
