Join us, we’re an Investors in People Gold Standard Company At Ground Control, we have an opportunity for an experienced Plant Operator to join our Arboriculture in Rail & Infrastructure division based in the Newark area. This is a pivotal role supporting our work across a wide range of sites nationally. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Plant Operator to join our team. Duties required of a plant operator are to include but are not limited to: Using your experience to assist in the scoping of works preparation of method statements and risk assessments. Understand, interpret and work, according to site plans, written instructions, or verbal guidance. Operate a variety of heavy machinery and equipment on highways, railway, utilities, and construction sites. Prioritize working in a clean and tidy manner to protect the environment and prevent pollution. Maintain all equipment in a clean and undamaged state, promptly reporting any damage. Perform pre-start equipment checks, document findings, and submit reports as required. Carry out routine maintenance and lubrication of equipment to ensure optimal functionality. Safely operate any plant or equipment you are trained and competent to use, this may be owned or hired in and will include the use of specialised attachments.
