About the role Car and Classic, Europe's largest classic & specialist vehicle marketplace, is seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Public Relations Specialist to join our UK team. Expanding on our previous short descript, the ideal candidate for this role should already be deeply ingrained in the automotive world. We believe our best work comes from the work we are most passionate about. As a PR Specialist, you will play a vital role in boosting the company's PR and brand presence across the United Kingdom. Being responsible for managing and leveraging our external creative agencies and having direct input into the company's media and creative endeavours through your experience and innovative ideas. The successful candidate should be data-driven, SEO-savvy, and capable of producing content that aligns with the brand while being optimised for the digital platforms of today. You don't have to be a car enthusiast to join us, but for those who are, this is an exciting opportunity to combine their passion with their profession Role and responsibilities Public Relations Strategy: Developing a comprehensive PR strategy to drive the business forward, focusing on brand engagement to produce meaningful, and impactful PR initiatives that align with the company's objectives and target audience. Media and Publication Connections: Leverage existing connections in the media and publication world to increase the brand's visibility and reach. Utilise personal networks to secure media coverage and partnerships & collaborations. Creative Agency Management: Oversee and collaborate with external creative agencies to ensure cohesive and effective PR campaigns and content production. Being the trusted advisor & authority on what works and what doesn’t. Content Creation: Utilising your own creativity, and with the help of our in-house editorial and copy-writers, create engaging and compelling content that showcases Car and Classic's offerings, including classic vehicles and the automotive marketplace. The content should be optimised for digital platforms and search engines. SEO Optimisation: Being cognisant of SEO best practices in content creation to drive organic traffic and improve search engine rankings. Digital Optimisation Link Building: Acquiring high-quality backlinks from reputable sources to enhance the website's authority and improve search engine visibility. Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyse PR and content performance metrics, providing data-driven insights to optimise future strategies. The skills, attributes and experience you must have: PR Experience: Proven track record in executing successful PR campaigns and managing media relationships. Automotive Enthusiast: Strong passion for classic vehicles and extensive knowledge of the automotive industry. Content Production: Exceptional writing and editorial skills to create engaging and SEO-optimised content. Digital Marketing: Familiarity with digital marketing strategies, SEO principles, and content marketing. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey brand messaging effectively. Networking Abilities: Established network and connections in the automotive and media industries. Data-Driven: Proficiency in using data and analytics to make informed decisions and measure campaign success. Result-Oriented: Ability to meet PR targets, generate media coverage, and secure high-quality backlinks. Organisational Skills: Strong project management and multitasking abilities to handle various PR initiatives simultaneously. What do you get (remuneration & benefits)?
