Location: Multimatic CFT, Wymondham, Norfolk, United Kingdom Company Overview: Multimatic CFT engineers and manufactures carbon composite components for top-echelon motorsports, the automotive industry and beyond. Position Overview: MCFT are currently recruiting for a Prep and Paint Technician to join our team producing high quality parts for multiple customers which includes motorsport and the premium automotive, medical and aerospace industries, The Prep and Paint Technician will prepare and paint patterns and moulds and the resulting carbon fibre component parts using seal and release agents, lacquer, paint or Cerakote finishes and on occasion other specialist coatings as per customer specification. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and apply either Lacquer, Cerakote or Paint to carbon component parts used within multiple industries such as aerospace, medical and high-end niche vehicles. Prioritise and organise the workload dependent on customer demand. Maintain a clean and organised work environment. Carry out any rework on tooling and moulds, re-seal/release as required. Work with the Finishing Team to ensure parts are fully prepped ready for paint etc. Check and replenish stock levels of consumables, liaising with stores to re-order. Basic Requirements: Competent in paint spraying and the associated techniques. Self-motivated, high working standards with an eye for detail. Good organisation skills and the ability to prioritise your workload. Desirable Strong communication skills. Flexibility to take on other composite related tasks. Training As Prep and Paint technician you will be expected to attend Cerakote UK for full and comprehensive training in the application of Cerakote.
