Job Summary Comcast Technology Solutions is looking to add a Director of Product Management to support the growth of Comcast’s Entertainment OS platform. Working within Comcast Technology Solutions MVPD group you will be responsible for managing communication of the CPE (Customer Premise Equipment) and video devices portfolio. This includes working with MSO Operator 'syndication partners' to deliver them Comcast/ Sky developed and designed devices, as well as working with OEMs and retailers who manufacture and sell TVs/ streaming devices with Comcast/Sky RDK based Entertainment OS. In this role you will be evaluating new product initiatives, identifying the appropriate technical and business stakeholders, and working with them to define detailed business and functional requirements. You’ll also be at ease with developing financial and operational objectives, ensuring technical integration patterns and operational plans are aligned with business objectives, and contributing to the group’s strategy development. Your commitment to excellence will help drive the Product organization forward. You are an even-tempered individual and capable of forging close and productive working relationships with a broad range of personality types and styles. You have highly developed listening & negotiating skills to find compromises and tradeoffs, maximizing delivered value. You’ll have 10+ years video CPE product/ program management experience with a proven track record executing large scale projects across multi-national matrixed organizations. You are available for occasional travel to key customer locations, trade shows/industry events and other Comcast sites. Job Description Core Responsibilities Collaborate with cross-functional teams to launch new services, features and enhancements on time and within budget. Serve as a subject-matter expert for assigned products. Assess needs and opportunities for new products through research and feasibility analysis. Manage, gather and analyze competitive intelligence data for product lines. Participate in product modification, cost reduction, margin analysis, advertising and promotion, forecasting, product positioning and pricing strategies. Develop goals, budget and strategic business plans. Recommends ways to expand sales and profitability. Manage the product planning and scheduling process according to sales volume, inventory requirements and materials availability. Establish and implement policies and procedures needed to achieve goals. Develop, mentor and train Specialists to ensure department work performance and objectives are met. Develop and manage product offerings to customers as well as working with other groups within the company to develop and support cross-functional strategy and product rollouts. Assists in developing product roadmaps and identifies new product offerings. Identify and gather potential product ideas, technologies and business opportunities that can be integrated into the current product line and recommends exploration of future products and opportunities. Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance. Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
