Working for the Atlas Copco Tools and Industrial Assembly Solutions (ACTIAS) Customer Centre (CC) UK, the Project Manager acts as a customer contact, working in collaboration with relevant IAS Product Companies (PCs) and CC teams, to deliver premium automotive joining systems that improve the end-user's manufacturing process. Role Description: Ensure project requests for quotation (RFQs) are specified correctly and quoted, delivered and commissioned following the customer's needs. You will be primarily customer-facing and to be successful will require collaboration with the relevant PC and the installation and commissioning team at the CC. The relevant IAS PCs consist of Henrob, SCA, ELD, ISRA Vision and Kflow. Main Responsibilities: With a necessary focus on delivering Vision (SFA) and Joining (IAS) systems, coordinate and develop action plans, manage resources, order components and provide scheduling to complete projects on time. Be the central contact for the customer and work with several layers of stakeholders Work with the customer's Programme Manager to contribute to detailed execution-timing plans including critical path timing, mitigation timing plans. Develop a technical understanding of all IAS product lines (Isra, Quiss, Perceptron, Henrob, SCA, ELD and K-Flow) – this will be supported by local team members, Product and key account managers backed up by PC expertise Support customer technical reviews and buyoffs Manage customer expectations by providing on-site interface for the customer. Monitor and react to key performance indicators and anticipate issues before escalation. Develop and maintain thorough understanding of the customer's processes and organisational structure. Provide regular updates to the management team on project status, support needed and red flags. Understand contractual deliverables, in content and contractual obligations as they relate to assigned projects. Centrally manage all project documentation and transparently log all meeting notes, engineering changes, cost summaries and timing schedules. Responsibility for a project Open Issues Deck (OID) to maintain a full overview of issues, resolution responsible party and date to be resolved You will be responsible and measured on the financial delivery of the projects. You will report to Projects Manager. This is a remote role. #LI-Remote What we are looking for: Bachelor's degree / Apprenticeship Scheme or work related experience in Engineering or Business Previous experience of working as a project engineer in the automotive industry. Digital skills: excellent working knowledge of MS Excel, Office 365, SharePoint sites and other relevant software applications. Experience with technical project management, preferably with OEM customers, like Jaguar Land Rover, in the automotive production and / or comparable industries. Experience with joining technologies, namely self-pierce riveting, flow drill screws and adhesive bonding.
