We’re Hiring a QA Tester Location: Remote (UK or Europe) or Hybrid in Southampton (HQ) Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 Alliants is on a mission to build the best digital experiences for the world’s most respected luxury hotel, travel and retail brands… and we’re seeking a QA Tester to join our expanding Development team. Join us on our journey, we are all-in on building the future of digital experiences The role: We are looking for someone passionate about software quality and dedicated to ensuring high standards. Reporting to the Development Manager, you will be a key part of our Development team, an open-minded and dynamic thinker who can contribute to various projects. Your role will require you to demonstrate vigilance and discipline in utilising testing tools and processes. You will be expected to take ownership and accountability for delivering high-quality outputs. Some key area’s you’ll be working on: Develop detailed and well-structured test plans and test cases Execute manual test scripts and run exploratory tests, documenting the results Record, investigate, analyse, and track identified bugs Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved Collaborate with the team to identify system requirements. Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of consistent testing standards, processes, and tools Assist in the automation of web and mobile application testing using modern tools and frameworks like Cypress, RSpec, JUnit, Jest, Mocha, Jasmine, and Storybook Provide recommendations to enhance software quality and improve the user experience Important to have: Demonstrable experience in manual testing and delivering modern web/mobile applications Proficiency in testing Web APIs (REST, GraphQL, etc.) Creation and implementation of test plans for new software Monitoring, documenting, and reporting software errors and usability issues Experience in stress and performance testing and security testing across web/mobile applications Strong understanding of robust development practices, including source control, unit testing, and CI/CD Essential knowledge of Cloud technologies (AWS, Google, Azure) Nice to have: Experience in testing server-side and client-side applications and APIs Implementation of automated testing criteria and processes to facilitate exploratory testing Proficiency in test automation planning, execution, and triage for projects across multiple platforms Experience with deployment to AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud environments Who are Alliants and what do we do?
