Job description
Here at Travis Perkins we’re looking for a Quality Assurance Apprentice to join our Head Office & Support Functions Team. Location: Our office is based in Northampton. What you’ll do As a Quality Assurance Apprentice your role is to minimise the business risk associated with both products and the supply chain, ensuring that products and suppliers within the assigned product categories comply with legal and Group requirements. You will: Work in accordance to the training plan issued by the apprenticeship provider and meet all the required standards expected as set by them and Travis PerkinsSupport the Chain of Custody Managers & Auditors with administrative tasks & compliance checks to maintain PEFC & FSC certification for TimberWork alongside Category Technical Managers to collate & maintain technical files to ensure product compliance to relevant legislation.Provide support to maintain product certification by liaising with the relevant Technical Managers, suppliers and certification bodiesAttend offsite products inspection activities with colleagues for the purposes of bench marking, product development or supporting quality related incidentsGeneral administration duties to support Quality Assurance & responsible souring, including but no limited to monitoring of email inboxes & reports for management Is this you? We’re looking for you to have: Great communication skills written and verbalInterpersonal skills with the ability to relate to a broad spectrum of individualsGood numeracy skills and conversant in Google Docs & Google sheets or equivalentGood problem solving skills You’ll also have: GCSE Grade C or above Maths and English or Level 2 Functional SkillsGreat organisational skills with the ability to plan workload to achieve deadlinesHigh attention to detailA collaborative working styleData management, analysis & report is preferred but not essential for this roleGood product knowledge (Timber or general construction products) is also preferred but not essential What’s in it for you?
