Surrey & Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is a General Medical Council (GMC) Sponsor employer This opportunity is open to UK based and international candidates This appointment is for a part-time Research Doctor within the Research and Development department at Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, working alongside a multidisciplinary team in line with New Ways of Working. This is a new post, and the ideal candidate will be flexible and able to contribute to the strategic development of the department, as well as work as an ambassador for research across the Trust. Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust works in partnership with the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Clinical Research Network (CRN) though the local Kent, Surrey, and Sussex CRN. The SABP research department is an award-winning service delivering high quality research studies and clinical trials. Our mission is to embed an innovative, vibrant research culture where the people who use our services can access the latest treatments and therapies. We provide a comprehensive range of services that includes community and hospital settings, e.g., talking therapies, mental health services for adults, children and adolescents, drug, and alcohol, learning disability, eating disorder, Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder clinic, forensic and other mental health conditions. Work as Sub-Investigator, progressing to Principal Investigator, on commercial and non-commercial clinical trials including Phase II and Phase III Responsible for the safety and wellbeing of participants during clinical trials Ensuring research is conducted in accordance with relevant guidelines including ICH Good Clinical Practice. Represent the Trust at various internal/external stakeholder meetings including Investigator meetings (sometimes international), board reviews and CRN meetings. Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is the leading provider of health and social care services for people of all ages with mental ill-health and learning disabilities in Surrey and North East Hampshire. We also provide social care services for people with a learning disability in Croydon and ASD and ADHD assessment services in Hampshire.
