Risk, Control & Compliance Manager Why Deliveroo? Join our world-class team as an important member reporting to the Director of Risk, Control & Compliance. You will collaborate with team members to transform these areas, ensuring that Deliveroo operates as a finely-tuned execution machine. As an important contributor, you will be at the heart of our efforts. Here's a glimpse into what you'll do: Control design and implementation support: Help design and implement effective controls. Root cause analysis and investigations: Analyze incidents and conduct thorough investigations to identify underlying causes. Policy creation and maintenance: Contribute to the development and upkeep of policies. Compliance training: Help educate our teams on compliance requirements. Conduct spot tests in risk areas: assess risk areas to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement. Collaborate with external auditors: Collaborate with auditors to support their testing of controls. Process mapping training & support: Provide guidance on process mapping and offer training. Risk identification: evaluate risks that may improve our operations. Manage the Risk Register: Oversee and maintain the Risk Register to ensure comprehensive risk management. Gap analysis: Conduct gap analyses to identify areas where controls can be enhanced. What do you need to bring to the table? Experienced working in (or with) start-ups Have expertise in evaluating risks and designing controls following the COSO Enterprise Risk Management and Integrated Control frameworks Understand and manipulate data sets Demonstrate a practical, thoughtful and approach to mitigating risk Have a 'moral compass' Be, but also able to see the "wood for the trees" Qualified accountant with experience conducting audits of large listed entities To succeed in this role, you should bring the following qualities: Experience working in (or with) start-ups, understanding their unique challenges and dynamics. Expertise in evaluating risks and designing controls following the COSO Enterprise Risk Management and Integrated Control frameworks. Proficiency in understanding and manipulating data sets to extract valuable insights. Demonstrated practical, thoughtful, and to mitigating risk. Posses a "moral compass" to guide ethical decision-making. See the bigger picture while paying attention to important details.
