As a Sales/Commission Analyst at Trooli, you will play a crucial role in supporting the sales team and ensuring accurate and timely commission calculations as well as providing insights to drive sales performance. THE ROLE The Sales Analyst is responsible for analysing sales data, calculating commissions, and providing insights to drive sales performance. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. The Sales Analyst will report to the PMO director and work closely with the sales team, finance department and other stakeholders. THE DAY JOB 1. Commission Calculation: Calculate sales commissions for the sales team based on agreed-upon commission structures and guidelines. Review sales data, including revenue, product mix, and sales targets, to determine commission eligibility and accurately calculate commission payments. Ensure commissions are calculated in a timely and accurate manner, adhering to the established commission cycle. 2. Sales Data Analysis: Analyse sales performance data, including sales volume, revenue, and customer acquisition metrics, to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement. Generate regular sales reports and dashboards to provide insights and actionable recommendations to the sales team and management. Collaborate with the sales team to understand their needs and develop customised reports to support their decision-making process. 3. Sales Performance Tracking: Monitor and track sales performance against individual and team targets, providing regular updates and reports to the sales team and management. Identify and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure sales productivity and effectiveness. Collaborate with the sales team to set realistic sales targets and quotas based on historical data and market trends. 4. Commission Plan Administration: Assist in the administration of the commission plans, including maintaining accurate records of commission structures, changes, and adjustments. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements related to commission calculations and payments. Address commission-related enquiries and provide support to the sales team regarding commission plans, calculations, and payment-related matters. 5. Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve commission calculation processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and transparency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Finance, and IT, to streamline data collection, reporting, and commission processes. Propose and implement system enhancements or automation tools to streamline commission calculations and reporting. WE'D LIKE TO SPEAK TO YOU IF... You have proven experience as a Sales Analyst or in a similar analytical role. You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and draw meaningful insights. You are proficient in using spreadsheet software (e.g. Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets) and data visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI). You have excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to work with large data sets and complex calculations. You have strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present findings and recommendations to stakeholders. You have the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build effective relationships with cross-functional teams. Experience using CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce) and commission management software is a plus. Knowledge of sales processes, commission structures, and sales performance metrics is highly desirable. Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Ref: INDHP
