Senior Controls Assurance Manager – UK Sox Fixed Term Edinburgh or Newcastle Salary circa £63,000 . What we’ll offer This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team and help shape the Bank’s compliance with an important piece of upcoming regulation, “UK Sox”. The role will provide a wide level of exposure to a variety of processes, products and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across the Bank, meaning you will be able to gain exposure to the wider Bank in a way few roles can provide. This is your chance to show us how well you work collaboratively in ensuring we have the controls we need, as well as gaining access to multiple internal processes and products that play to your strengths - building your career within the Tesco Bank family. The UK Sox regulation is new to the UK, and being involved in these early stages will provide successful candidates with early insight and experience, being at the forefront of an area that will be in focus for several years. Otherwise, this is generally an exciting time to join Tesco Bank, as we adopt Agile practices across the Bank which are likely to provide key skills required for the future. The Role You will be working on: Ensuring that processes are captured and documented to the right standard, highlighting the correct key risk points; identifying the relevant controls that are, or need to be, in place, using your expertise to create and implement key policies and control improvements. ensuring the timely implementation of corrective actions necessary to remedy any required uplifts identified through testing key internal financial controls. Making sure that controls are assessed to the correct standards, verifying that they are taking place and working as intended; Coaching and managing the work of a team of risk and control specialists; continually updating process documentation and risk/control system inputs across a variety of processes, products, with varied stakeholders, that will provide excellent exposure, and demand good prioritisation and time management coordinating efforts across multiple functions and departments to ensure compliance requirements are met within required deadlines.
