Job Reference: 0628-23 Date Posted: Friday, 18 August 2023 Application Closing Date: Sunday, 3 September 2023 Location: Preston Campus Salary: £28,759 to £32,982 per annum Basis: Full Time Contract Type: Fixed Term for 12 months due to limited funding Job Category / Type: Professional Services School / Service: School of Engineering and Computing Hours: 36.25 hours per week Interview Date: To be confirmed We are seeking to appoint a Senior Research Assistant for 12 months to work on the Agile Research Network project (www.agileresearchnetwork.org). The aim of the project is to undertake research, create practitioner-focused outputs from research findings and identify improvements to practice in conjunction with collaborators. The particular area of interest is agile management and leadership roles, competencies and practice. The post holder will apply their methodological expertise and experience to this project whilst working alongside other academic members of the team. We are looking for an outstanding candidate with a proven track record and potential to conduct research at the highest international level. Holding an Honours degree and Masters degree or higher postgraduate qualification in a related area, the successful candidate will have strong knowledge of agile software development and the ability to work effectively and collaboratively with colleagues. Utilising strong organisation skills, the successful candidate will be able to work to targets and deadlines whilst also undertaking independent research and producing excellent academic writing.
