Site Construction SupervisorBrigg, LincolnshireOverviewAt Centrica Business Solutions (CBS) we provide integrated energy solutions that deliver cost efficiency, resilience and accelerate our customers’ journeys to a low carbon future. In Centrica Energy Assets (CEA) within CBS we are building a 1GW portfolio of flexible energy generation assets including solar, battery and hydrogen ready peaking plants to help drive the transition to Net Zero.Our Brigg site is changing quickly - once a gas fired combined cycle power station now transitioning to a net zero energy centre with £100m of projects such as Hydrogen ready gas peaking plants, Solar, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and a Centrica partnership with HiiROC (who are developing zero emission Hydrogen production technology).As Site Construction Supervisor you will be accountable for the successful delivery of the construction phase of CEA’s projects.Travel Requirements – Occasional travel to other Centrica sites and projects in UK.The RoleYou’ll co-ordinate the work packages of the EPC contractor, subcontractors, suppliers and consultants delivering projects up to the value of £50m, to Centrica project standards and ensuring they are delivered safely, to CBS quality standards, on programme and within budget. Collaboration is critical and you will ensure risks are mitigated on both sides. You will be located in North Lincolnshire initially, however more projects are located across different UK & Ireland geographies and will vary in size, complexity, and technologies.Managing and leading a large multi skilled project team of up to 5 team members in a matrix structure with up to 100 team members inclusive of contractors and suppliers is a key part of your role. You’ll successfully manage the construction phase of the projects (inc. CDM activities), ensuring the delivery, including building scope of works and driving regular reporting on project progress to stakeholders.The PersonWe would like you to have a strong understanding of heavy industry construction management with experience working on large scale projects. We would prefer if you have a Mechanical/Electrical bias but we are open to discussions.You’ll be forensic in your approach to details and planning, able to communicate confidently at all levels both internally and externally.
